A customer from the consumer goods industry approached Keats to multi-slide stamp and form custom stainless steel spring clips for garage door openers.
We designed and built tooling to multi slide stamp the .025″ thick, 5.008″ long and .465″ wide spring clips. Then, #301 stainless steel clips were formed using Keats’ precision machinery. Throughout the entire process we held tightest tolerances of ±.003″. 275,000 of the contacts were delivered weekly to the client’s location in Mexico.
