A customer from the highway lighting industry approached Keats to reel-to-reel stamp and form custom phosphor bronze spring contacts.
We designed and built tooling to reel-to-reel stamp the .032″ thick, 1.00″ long and 1.075″ wide contacts. Then, the pre-tinned #510 phosphor bronze contacts were formed and specially packaged on reels. Throughout the entire process we held tightest tolerances of ±.005″. 50,000 of the contacts were delivered weekly to the client’s location in Mexico.
